When we created MEETorDIE.com, we wanted a fun, low-pressure way to help people understand that their lousy meetings were a complete waste of time. The green guy above is named Goolah and he acts like a meeting police officer and can tell you if a meeting is a good idea or not.

In this image Goolah is obviously happy but it’s at the expensive of ruining someone else. Meetings are sometimes like that. We love all online sharing sites equally, but as in life, someone usually has to get buried (hopefully it’s not us). We will be releasing one of these images per week for the next 4 weeks so check back to see who else incurs Goolah’s wrath.

MEETorDIE.com calculates exactly how much your lousy meeting is going to cost by looking at the specific industries, companies, meeting length, and salaries of the attendees.

Our friend Goolah is at your disposal to help you get you out of your boring meetings. He values your time (unlike your co-workers) and will be brutally honest—whether it’s evaluating your meeting, or crushing your hopes and dreams. He keeps it real like that.

A few interesting facts about MEETorDIE:

• MEETorDIE is the creation of Vaporware Labs (located in Mountain View, CA). Vaporware Labs is a bootstrapped Silicon Valley startup made up of ex-EA, ex-Apple, and other ex-guys (no ex-husbands or ex-cons…yet).
• Salaries and job titles have been pulled from multiple online resources, including the Department of Labor Statistics. Assigned values are based on industry averages.
• We don’t capture any of your personal data, so feel free to post as many juicy details about your meetings and company as possible (but please keep it PG-13 for US or G in Europe).
• We endorse making the best out of a bad situation. We highly suggest spending wasteful meeting money on something of real value like providing clean water to people around the world through Charity Water, or supporting the relief efforts in Haiti through the Red Cross. Each meeting results page includes a link to donate money in non-borings ways like giving to the aforementioned organizations.
• No pink cows, foxes, playground games, book faces, or shovels were hurt in the making of this website.  We do, however, appreciate these sites being good sports—love you guys.
